You will serve as a Electronics Technician in the Tactical Electronic Warfare, Code 576200 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Duties

You will provide technical oversight to the installation of highly specialized test articles on the flight motion simulator and electrical integration with the CTS test facility. You will organize and maintain the unique electrical and mechanical interface hardware used with the test articles. You will provide support to facility improvement and upgrade projects. You will assist with the troubleshooting and repair of RF, analog and digital circuits used throughout the facility. You will assist facility customers in the installation and configuration of customer-provided equipment needed to conduct electronic warfare experiments. You will operate laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, pulse and function generators, RF synthesizers, RF power meters and spectrum analyzers.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (NR-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Fabricating, packaging/assembling, wiring, integrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electronics, electronic systems, and military radar systems in support of simulation capabilities; 2) Providing technical oversight on the installation of electrical hardware using general-purpose laboratory instrumentation and test equipment (e.g., direct current power supplies, volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, RF poser miters, spectrum analyzers); 3) Providing technical recommendations for electronic systems by establishing criteria, formulating projects, and assessing program effectiveness; and 4) Collaborating with internal and external team members to meet project goals. This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must have demonstrated experience in operation, repair, installation and inspection of military electronics and radar systems. And you must have significant experience in organizing and leading a technical aspect of military radar or electronic warfare testing.
