The position is located in the USDA, Rural Development Business Center. The incumbent provides a wide range of analytical support in areas such as organization, records, reports, forms, file, communication, human resources/staffing planning and directives management.
This is NOT a remote position.
Duties
Support major projects and programs to include maintenance, gathering and compiling records to include goals and milestones, tracking databases, record-keeping.
Prepares reports, briefings, spreadsheets and correspondence using a wide-range of complex data. Includes proof-reading and attention to detail for document editing and format.
Serves as office contact for various areas such as facility, technology, supply, personnel and other administrative or operational duties.
Assists with coordinating meetings and conferences, travel arrangements, preparing requests and maintaining travel records.
Serves as timekeeper assisting staff with updates to time and attendance and leave records, preparing leave reports, and other timekeeper duties.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
For the GS-09 Level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Providing a variety of administrative services in support of functional activities; assisting senior leadership by participating in the planning, directing, and coordinating of the procedural and administrative management work; independently conducting special reviews of administrative matters; establishing priorities, assigning suspense items, and monitoring through completion; responsible to oversee potential problems relating to leave, travel, overtime and timekeeping and services as an office manager in support of a variety administrative functions to include travel, property communication and office software needs (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, records management, etc.); reviewing correspondence, memoranda, reports and other office documents to assure compliance with the organizations correspondence standards; receiving, reviewing, and monitoring the flow correspondence and staff action requests OR master's or equivalent graduate degree OR two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Equivalent combination of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level. Applicant must be experienced with a host of Microsoft applications to include but not limited to SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and TEAMS. OR master's or equivalent graduate degreeOR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying at this grade level.
