About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Contract Management Support Specialist at the G8 Directorate Resource Management in Fort Irwin, CA.
Duties
Serve as a contract management support specialist for a training center.
Develop a contract surveillance plan for implementation throughout the facilities among the training center.
Analyze contractor operations to determine adequacy of compliance and performance.
Review cost estimates to ensure availability of sufficient supplies and funding to accomplish organizational missions.
Maintain contract files to accurately document terms and conditions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 10% required.
- Required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, IAW DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Analyze contracts to provide recommendations to improve the efficiency of operations at the training center facilities; 2). Develop logistical operation plans to prepare budget estimates for contract requirements to accomplish organizational missions; 3). Create schedules regarding contract evaluations to rate contractor performance; and 4). Recommend reallocation of existing resources to avoid waste and increase productivity throughout the training center facilities.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
