This position is located with the Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy (CG-5P), Director, Inspections and Compliance (CG-5PC), under the Deputy Commandant for Operations (DCO) at U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as an Administrative Specialist, managing the overall day-to-day administrative, office, and technical management processes within the Flag/SES level office. The services performed are highly confidential, diverse, often complex, and are time-sensitive to the operations of the organization.

- Time-in grade requirement must be met by closing date.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-09 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Experience serving as a senior level administrative assistant for a senior level executive; AND
Experience scheduling meetings and travel and addressing schedule conflicts for a senior level executive and/or military personnel; AND
Experience managing operational procedures for an office or directorate; AND
Experience preparing correspondence for a senior level manager/director's signature.
