This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business and Technical Management Career Path (AcqDemo only) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Acquisition Management Specialist position is assigned to the US Army Acquisition Support Center, Office of the Director, located in Arlington, VA
Duties
Responsible for Audit Readiness and Remediation activities for business processes related the acquisition, receipt and acceptance and valuation of capital assets, munitions, and spare parts.
Responsible for the development, completion and implementation of effective corrective action plan that address control gaps and include necessary steps for remediation of audit findings.
Develop, analyze and publish publication of meaningful metrics, plan milestones, process narratives, process flows, and Internal Controls.
Develop policies, plans, and procedures relating to external audits throughout ASA(ALT) and executes audit liaison functions as prescribed by appropriate laws, directives, and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Practitioner Level in the Acquisition Career Field Business-Financial Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment
- Business travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1) Analyzing procurement programs to identify problems in order to recommend appropriate resolutions; 2) Reviewing proposed contractual actions for conformance with regulatory requirements and procurement practices; and 3) Serve as contracting officer's representative (COR) on selected contracts, and recommends the issuance of necessary modifications to clarify questions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
