You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (GENERAL) in the FLEET READINESS CENTER MID ATLANTIC FRCMA A/C DEPT NRFK PROD BR of FRC SE DET MIDLANT OCEANA.

Duties

You will Conduct tests on equipment to identify methods of reducing the occurrence of repairs. You will advise management on policies and procedures for maintenance, planning, provisioning, and supplies of material handling equipment. You will address questionable Government Purchase Card purchases to ensure purchases are not made that are unauthorized or made without following the guidelines for mandatory sources. You will approve expenditures of Government Purchase Card (GPC) program to procure materials and services.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: duties such as: Utilizing software systems to identify and document technical requirements that support the procurement of material required by the Aircraft Department production personnel. Determining disposition of misidentified materials, performing discrepant material actions, performing follow-up documentation and identifying material discrepancies and resolving issues related to these problems. Utilizing Government Purchase Credit Card as well as MIL-Strip procurement to purchase materials. Documenting Government Purchase Credit Card requirements in compliance with FRC instructions and reporting tasks in compliance with credit card management requirements. Managing and following basic Navy Supply procedures, operations policies, and supporting interface with various commands. Maintaining liaison with various levels within the command to obtain information and provide assistance on validity of requirements, application, and seriousness or consequences of the lack of material possible sources of supply.
