You will serve as an Equipment Specialist located in the Operations Department on the staff of Commander, Strike Fighter Wing (CSFWL) of STRIKE FIGHTER WING LANT.

Duties

You will formulate and determine priorities, plans and secures FY budgets that directly support current and future requirements and sustainment of programs. You will serve as the FA-18E/F flight simulator Facility (SIMFAC) Manager (Building 140), for all Collateral and Special Access programs, spaces and contracted services. You will direct, monitor and evaluate performance of all Contractor Support services (CSS) in the areas of deliverables, services, access control, maintenance requirements and associated program management. You will maintain a complete and current training device technical library for contractor and staff use. You will monitor daily training periods to evaluate CSS Staff’s performance for adherence to contractual requirements. You will conduct periodic quality assurance inspections to ensure safe and proper maintenance practices to prolong the service life. You will develop, plan and coordinate training asset and program schedules to support CSFWL fleet and FRS operational requirements utilizing all assigned assets and/or programs. You will maintain a maintenance data base of scheduled and unscheduled corrective maintenance actions on assigned equipment to support trend analysis and or sustainment resources. You will attend applicable TYCOM, PMA, CSFWL staff meetings.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .Experience and extensive knowledge of Aviation Training Programs, training products, aviation maintenance systems, simulation applications for use when conducting FA18E/F/G Aircrew and Maintenance personnel training to support Fleet and FRS operational training requirements. Experience and an in-depth knowledge of FA-18E/F Flight Simulator training systems, CNATTU Maintenance Trainers, LSOT, Distributed Mission Training systems to include the Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) and all associated components, supporting systems and devices. Experience and understanding of applicable FA-18E/F/G missions, aircraft weapons, navigation system, and the employment of these systems as they pertain to both the Collateral and Special Access simulator environment (flight and ground training). Experience providing technical expertise within all assigned areas to support acquisitions, operational readiness, and maintenance sustainment. Experience and knowledge of principles and technology for design, development, test and evaluation, delivery, maintenance, and in-service support of training systems and equipment including Simulators, Mission Rehearsal, Computer-Based Training, Advanced Distributed Learning, Curriculum and Courseware, and Distributed Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Interoperable Training. Experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisitions Requirements (FAR), government contracting processes and experience in developing Performance Work Standards (PWS), Statements of Work (SOW) and validating contractor compliance / noncompliance within those PWS / SOWs is required.
