About the Position: This position will serve as a Supervisory Prevention Specialist (Prevention Lead) (PREV WF) with Office of CG/Commandant, Aviation Center of Excellence located at Fort Novosel, Alabama. The incumbent will be responsible for oversight of integrated primary prevention workforce staff and overall responsibility for successful coordination and execution of comprehensive primary prevention efforts through coalitions and partnerships.

Duties

Facilitate systematic development and planning of policy, training, and oversight of the Army’s Integrated Prevention Strategy and higher headquarters (HHQ). Analyze prevention data functions to include the development of analytics, measures, and metrics to help foster prevention performance towards Service or organizational wide targets, objectives, and goals. Advise senior leaders on how to address risk factors, develop protective factors, and how to act across the multiple levels of the Social Ecological Model (SEM). Provide oversight and quality control for Prevention Specialist and Prevention Implementation staff work products and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Within six months of employment, must complete DoD SPARX Knowledge Part 1 and 2, training specific to prevention activities being delivered,
  • and complete all requirements to obtain the OSD Credentialing Program for Prevention Personnel (D-CPPP) credential.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Per DoDI 6400.11, this position must acquire and maintain a Level 5 of the DoD Credentialing Program for Prevention Personnel (D-CPPP) in compliance with OSD guidance.
  • This is a condition for employment. Supervisory Prevention Specialists will ensure the I-PAG workforce acquire and maintain the appropriate level D-CPPP credential to standard.
  • May have to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
