Duties

Prepares and types documentation in support of the Motor Transport Officer. Requisitions supplies and equipment for the Branch. Serves as liaison between units and post activities on matters concerning customer satisfaction. Determines and recommends approval for additional equipment, supplies, and materials within the terms of the contract.

• Temporary duty travel up to 5% may be required.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with developing surveillance procedures used in inspecting Motor Vehicle Operators (MVOs) performance. 2) Assisting with requisitioning supplies or equipment for the organization.; and 3) Reviewing documents for deficiencies after inspections are completed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
