This position is located in Interior Region 2, in the Information Technology Resource Management Division.
Duties
Serve as the Chief of Information Resources and Technology of the Southeast Regional Office. This division supports the Regional Office, parks, programs, and offices. This includes responsibility for all computerized operations, telecommunications, information management, and radio activities within the region.
Provide policy, guidance, advisory support for regional managers and end users, and technical direction for all computer and telecommunications systems.
Serve as the manager and supervisor over Information Technology Resource Management, providing the full spectrum of supervision to a subordinate staff composed of numerous diverse specialties within the IT field.
Serve as the Regional Information Officer and on the national level Information Management Council to provide advisory guidance, determine end user needs, and develop both short and long-range strategic plans for information resources management.
Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for program contracts as required to provide services.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. This experience includes activities such as: Skill in applying advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices in order to: develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT services; Skill in applying a mastery of the interrelationships of multiple IT specialists; And knowledge of computer technology sufficient to supervise work in the following functional units of the Program: IT Help Desk, LAN/WAN, telecommunications, unified communications connectivity and support, installation of new hardware and software, procurement of hardware, software and services, land mobile radio system support and troubleshooting, Internet applications, electronic records management and related applications and subsequent support. You must include hours per week worked.
