You will serve as a Production Controller (Ships) in the Operations Department of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
This is a competitive detail not to exceed one year and is intended to provide an opportunity to gain the competencies necessary to perform the duties of a Production Controller (Ships). If selected there will be no change in your salary. Upon successful completion of one year, you may be eligible to compete for GS-1152-11, Production Controller (Ships) positions.
Duties
You will work as a member of the Project Planning and Execution Team providing data, reports and support for processes.
You will review, analyze and monitor and availability's cost and schedule data.
You will verify data through communication with project managers and periodic on site analysis of processes and results.
You will accomplish special projects and support availabilities as assigned.

- Both agencies' management and HR must agree to reimbursement details. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) must be signed by the detailee and management.
- Must have received a Fully Successful or higher performance rating on last performance cycle.
- This detail opportunity may be rescinded if detailee fails to meet position requirements.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position you must either:
Have journey-level trades experience as a Wage Grade (WG), Wage Leader (WL) or Wage Supervisor (WS) employee.
OR
Have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level (GS-07) in one of the following General Schedule (GS) Positions : GS-0343-Management Analyst; GS-0802-Engineering Technician; GS-0501-Financial Management Analyst; GS-1152-Production Controller; or GS-1712-Training Specialist.
