This position is located in the Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Mission Operations (OMO), Operations Division (OD), Mission Support Branch (MSB), and serves as a Lead Emergency Management Specialist, providing guidance to six (6) Emergency Management Specialists on emergency operating procedures and oversight during emergency response activities.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or grade in the Federal service, i.e. NQ-01 or GS-07 Level position. Qualifying specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience providing operational coverage and resolution when encountering emergency events. Experience developing and implementing emergency management program policies and initiatives.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
1. Experience operating within an Emergency Operations Center. This includes emergency planning and preparedness processes and procedures in order to evaluate potential or emergency situations.
2. Experience responding to Emergency Response situations with government, military, Federal and other government enforcement/security organizations.
3. Experience preparing, operating, and managing multi-computer-based systems and networks used in emergency operations centers.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

If you are eligible for career transition assistance plans such as ICTAP or CTAP, you must meet the definition of "well qualified" which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
