As a Project Manager you will be responsible for overall management of Prospectus Level projects, those that entail complex building and/or leasing projects, or project groupings which can comprise the most major, politically sensitive, and complex initiatives.  Location of position: PBS, Lease Project Management Branch located in Albany, Buffalo, or Syracuse, NY, or Hato Rey, PR We are currently filling one vacancy. Additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

This position has job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. If you are selected for this position you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within 45 days. At that time, you may be eligible to request to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy.

Specialized experience is utilizing project management practices and tools to simultaneously manage multiple complex and high risk construction and/or repair and alteration projects in a real estate environment. This experience must include: Managing complex projects (balancing scope/quality, schedule, budget and risk) requiring the services of multiple disciplines (i.e., construction, design, IT, telecommunications, interior furnishings, etc.) from project initiation phase through financial closeout; Interpreting multi-level customer needs and developing them into actionable requirements; Developing, managing, and balancing project plans, budgets, and schedules, including assessing risk and developing appropriate mitigation strategies; Managing multiple stakeholders by developing relationship strategies; Applying procurement knowledge and experience to manage contracts supporting assigned projects; and Negotiating sound real estate business transactions.
