This position will work in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. It is the initial contact for government and corporate officials, foreign dignitaries, attorneys, witnesses, defendants, plaintiffs, and the general public.

Requirements

  • A probationary period of one (1) year must be successfully completed.
  • Background and security investigation are required.
  • Must speak, interpret, read and write English and Spanish fluently.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High-school diploma or GED plus two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience in a court, legal or office environment. Experience with Windows Operating System is required.Documentation of education (copy of HS diploma, GED certificate, or college transcript or degree) must be submitted with your application or your application will not be considered. The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.Must speak, interpret, read and write Spanish and English fluently. Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts are required.  If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.   The incumbent should be an enthusiastic and engaged professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.
