This position is located in the Department of Congressional and Public Affairs, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
Although the position is advertised equivalent to GS-12, MCC uses a pay banded system to compensate employees. This position is pay band MC-4B which is generally equal to GS-12.
This vacancy is open to ICTAP eligibles in the local commuting area only.
Duties
Serves as a technical resource on web content and other public affairs campaigns and project teams.
Participates in developing and implementing technical solutions to website deliverables identified within those projects.
Develops a concept and manages the project and/or project team to translate that concept into functional, semantic, standards-based Section 508-compliant code.
Monitors, manages and makes necessary modifications to HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript code repositories.
Develops and/or maintains third party or custom MCC-developed plugins to enhance website functionality and third party and/or custom MCC-developed themes to display the website properly on multiple devices and web browsers.
Translates complex data, external or MCC-developed structured data, external or MCC-developed application programming interfaces (APIs) and related concepts into appropriate visual representations .
Works with IT staff to ensure that MCC's web hosting environment is stable and capable of serving the website and for other website- related issues.
Manages the public website content management system's content model and taxonomies. Keeps the technical documentation related to MCC's public website up to date.
Manages MCC's website content management system installation, and coordinates tasks with MCC's web hosting contractor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- More than 1 job may be filled if additional vacancies occur within 120 days
- Relocation expenses will not be paid
- Some domestic and international travel may be required
Qualifications
To qualify for pay band 4B applicants must meet the following:
Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 4C (GS-11) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, this experience is defined as; serving as a technical resource on web content and other public affairs campaigns and website deliverables: experience making modifications to HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript code repositories, including any third-party and custom frameworks; managing a public website content management system's content model and taxonomies; and communicating effectively with tact and diplomacy, orally and in writing to logically and effectively explain website code and/or website content management system applications. Time-in-Grade: Time-in-grade requirements apply. You must have one year of Federal service equivalent to pay band 4C or GS-11 to be eligible for pay band 4B.
