You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will provide technical engineering guidance and assistance to resolve system problems.
You will analyze technical data to conduct assessments of systems and create evaluation reports.
You will develop and update maintenance plans and practices to improve existing functions.
You will make system modifications for mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and optical projects.
You will deliver briefings on technical assignments to present results, conclusions, and recommendations.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Reviewing technical engineering data to assessable form, conducting subsequent analysis and assessment, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations in a readily understandable form; 2) Analyzing standard technical engineering problems, conceptualizing desired future technical capability, and making estimates of the usefulness of such capability in equipment or subsystems at the excepted level of technical capability; and 3) Planning and executing test projects and analyzing and reporting on test project results.
