About the Position: This is an Interdisciplinary, GS-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Engineering and Construction Division.
Duties
Plan and execute a wide range of geospatial engineering and geographic information system activities utilized to plan, design, construct, operate, maintain and manage projects within the Corps of Engineers civil works.
Serve as a project leader to one or more lower-graded GIS Analysts engaged in large GIS studies or projects.
Negotiate contracts for GIS services and products, monitors progress, and conducts quality assurance activities, and ensures products are complete, accurate and meet customer requirements.
Create a scope of work, cost estimate, and schedule for completing diverse geospatial engineering assignments involving multiple components including geospatial data, analysis, visualization and/or dissemination.
Compile and process aerial photography and multi-spectral satellite imagery into formats required for analysis using geographic information system specialized tools and techniques.
Prepare correspondences, reports, charts, graphs, and other visual products; and creates, edits, and/or prints multi-layered maps and mapping products for meetings, briefings, and reports.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing remotely sensed geospatial data for proper documentation; AND (2) Conducting analysis and preparing draft reviews of findings using aerial survey (UAS) and Multi-spectral satellite imagery; AND (3) Recommending corrective actions to mitigate impacts on geospatial data in accordance with regulatory guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
