About the Position: Serves as the primary Strategic Planner and Congressional Liaison for the District Engineer. Leads District Strategic planning, Congressional Engagement and Management analysis processes with the objective of identifying opportunities and goals.

Duties
Organizes, coordinates, supervises, and controls the life- cycle activities involved in a broad range of strategic planning project assignments.
Exerts primary leadership in managing and executing the District Operations Plan and customer survey process, serving and working with the Corporate leadership.
Prepares briefings, and administrative support for the Commander in conjunction with the District staff.
Independently leads overall efforts for strategies to develop operations plan and alignment with the Division.
Coordinates with various audiences to clarify and define strategic issues, such as the problem to be addressed, goal to be achieved, objectives and scope of the effort, schedules, and support needed.
Serves as the Commander's liaison with Congressional and state legislative offices to monitor and respond to federal/state budget and policy or other initiatives, which may affect the District.
Requirements

- Business travel is approximately 25% of the time
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
