About the Position: Serves as a Traffic Management Specialist within the Corps Transportation Office for the V-Corps Headquarters.
Duties
Manages and reviews multiple movements in support of military operations and training exercises.
Coordinates the Corps final planning actions and directs movement of units, equipment and supplies worldwide as required by the Joint Staff.
Participates in the formulation of or provides planning guidance, requirements, and priorities for development of transportation technical intelligence, translates available intelligence into transportation capacity terms.
Maintains active liaison with various agencies of DoD to assess the impact of mobility problems created by revision of Army and joint doctrine for joint and combined operations.
Reviews Time Phased Force Deployment Data Letter of Instruction (TDPFDD-LOI) to verify and validate, and execute JOPES actions.
Review, evaluate, and validate unit data in Joint Operational Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and Transportation Coordinator Automated Information Management System (TC-AIMS II).
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires you to travel from the duty station up to 20% of the time.
- Must be able to work extended and/or other than normal duty hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to the extent determined by the supervisor.
- Must be able perform a Temporary Change of Station (TCS) for not less than 6 months, but no more than 30 months. (VERIFY PRIOR TO RECRUITMENT)
- This position is designated Mission and Furlough Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster).
- IAW DoD Policy, must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee Special Issuance Passport (SIP) and associated visa while assigned to a Federal civilian position.
- Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a state driver’s license.

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1.) Monitoring strategic and intra-theater air and sealift for all regionally assigned forces; 2.) Planning for deployments, redeployments, contingencies, Theater and Corps level multi-national exercises; and 3.) Assist customers with air load plans, diplomatic clearances, and hazardous material paperwork.
