This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
Responsible for material management transportation movement of ammunition receipt, pickups, and delivery.
Plan, direct, and manage personnel in functions of commercial shipment planning, traffic services, and material requisition process
Execute budget for transportation services and demurrage to commercial carriers.
Develop and implement federal transportation policy and procedures.
Evaluate performance of subordinate personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position meets the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing.
- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifications
About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as the Installation Maintenance Program and Motor Pool Manager responsible for the daily operations, strategic planning, complex issue resolution, regulatory implementation of the division located at the Camp Stanley Storage Activity, which is a subordinate installation of JMC.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
Plan, coordinate, and carry out motor pool maintenance projects with high visibility and interest to completion;
Interpret and apply complex federal motor pool regulations;
Assess the efficiency of operations to develop problem solving solutions; and
Lead, direct, or assig work of personnel
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
