Duties

Major Duties: This is not an all-inclusive list A PROGRAM ASSISTANT, GS-0344-7, 1. Monitors, creates, and provides guidance and assistance to subordinate headquarters, staff, and individual Service Members in the implementation and maintenance of the mobilization process. Provides centralized analysis pertaining to unit mobilization capability and Deployment Manning Document (DMD) requirements, updates, and changes. Coordinates with personnel, training, logistics and other staff sections on mobilization and readiness reporting matters. Collects, creates, reviews, and expedites mobilization related documents. Interprets Department of the Army Mobilization Policies, Army National Guard (ARNG) Mobilization Guidance, training regulations, manuals, policies, procedures and ensures compliance with all pertinent regulations and local requirements for mobilizations. Performs verification of state Unit Identification Codes (UICs) for mobilizing units and individual mobilizing service members. Exercises technical responsibility, input of data, and extraction of information for the MOBCOP suite of systems to include Tour of Duty, DAMPS, DAMPS-OCOIND, DAMPS-U, DAMPS-OCOTCS, and CRC Manager. Provides program assistance and guidance to training personnel in the operations and maintenance of the various MOBCOP systems. 2. Monitors, creates, and provides guidance and assistance to subordinate headquarters, and staff on the scope of Defense Readiness Reporting System - Army (DRRS-A). Researches and refines Unit Status Reporting (USR) metrics to ensure readiness data is accurate. Monitors and enforces USR completion of subordinate commands. Creates reports and compiles analytical data for quarterly briefings. Provides program assistance and guidance to training personnel in the operations and maintenance of various MOBCOP systems. 3. GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:Experience, education or training involving administrative or clerical experience (i.e., applying guidelines, rules and regulations to assignments, composing correspondence, researching and compiling information and data, and records administration). Experience using computer and automation systems. Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training evaluating and determining regulatory compliance. Experience using guidelines, methods, precedents and techniques applicable to the specific programs or phases relative to the position. Experience conducting studies, preparing reports, and making changes to eliminate ineffective operations.
