About the Position: Serves as an Operations Research and System Analyst and Taylor Building Team Lead in the Analysis and Inspection Follow-Up Division of the United States Army Inspector General Agency.

Duties

Supervise the execution of the inspection follow-up process. Ensure approved inspection recommendations are promptly tasked to responsible entities. Supervise the execution of Inspector General evaluations. Design, develop, and adapt mathematical, statistical, and other analytical methods and techniques. Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis support to the inspection teams during each phase of the inspections process. Provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions. Design, administer and analyze surveys. Prepare written reports to brief senior Army leaders.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 10 pounds is required.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.

At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing possible or probable effects and providing alternate solutions; providing support to a team throughout the lifecycle of an inspection; designing and/or administering surveys; and briefing senior leaders on the status of internal projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
