Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a Management Information Specialist, you will:
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Accessing, scrubbing, data, modeling and analyzing financial and programmatic data, applying analytical and problem solving techniques to identify issues and develop solutions using Oracle Apex or Java or .Net and PL/SQL or equivalent with thousands of users; AND
-Performing system and process analysis (i.e. researching problems, planning solutions, recommending process, software and systems solutions, and coordinating development to meet business needs); AND
-Writing reports with commercial off the shelf (COTS) software
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Assisting in accessing, scrubbing, data, modeling, developing system development using Oracle Apex or Java or .Net and PL/SQL or equivalent with thousands of users and analyzing financial and programmatic data and applying analytical problem-solving techniques to identify issues; AND
- Assisting in performing system and process analysis (i.e. researching problems, planning solutions, recommending process, software and systems solutions, and assisting in development to meet business needs); AND
- Writing reports with commercial off the shelf (COTS) software.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
