You will serve as a Supervisory Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SAR WF) in the United States Marine Corps of MCAS CHERRY POINT.

Duties

You will plan, administer, provide oversight guidance, and develop and mange overall work of the office. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty of requirements of assignments. You will coordinate response activities in the event of a sexual assault report. You will provide guidance and technical assistance on SAPR procedures. You will ensure victims are receiving direct and indirect services to receive guidance and emotional support. You will provide leadership with non-identifying personal information within 24 hours of a restricted report of sexual assault. You will conduct prevention activities in an effort to reduce sexual assault.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current D-SAACP certification in accordance with DoDI 6495.03.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret level security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You may serve in an “on call” duty status outside of normal work hours that includes remaining in a reasonable call back radius, carrying a cell phone, staffing the 24/7 support line duty as needed; regularly checking email to respond to crises.
  • You will be required to remain in a state of readiness to perform work with limitations on pursuing outside leisure activities while on call; and/or reporting to a designated post of duty to be ready to or to perform work.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain access to Catch a Serial Offender (CATCH) Program, Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID)
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: 1) Assisting in managing a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program; 2) Providing guidance and technical assistance on Sexual Assault Prevention and Response procedures; 3) Ensuring that sexual assault victims receive guidance and emotional support during administrative, medical, investigative, and legal procedures; 4) Conducting prevention activities to reduce sexual assault; 5) Providing direction, work assignments, and/or training to peers or lower graded personnel. Basic Requirements

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

or

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

or

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

You may also qualify based on education OR combination of education and experience, in lieu of the one year specialized experience listed above: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
