Duties
You will perform information systems security support functions as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for multiple types of assigned systems at and in support of SAP Facilities under SFWSPAC oversight.
You will perform information vulnerability mitigations ensuring STIG requirements are met and apply required security patches to meet IAVA compliance.
You will develop, coordinate and assist in the utilization and operation of IT equipment as either stand-alone equipment or connected to a network under supervision of SFWSPAC ISSM.
You will assist in review of functional user justifications and requirements for new or additional IT capabilities in the form of hardware, software, and/or communication equipment.
You will recommend alternate solutions if required.
You will plan, organize and distribute information systems of various types and classifications.
You will evaluate technical specifications, vendor and research agency technical literature, and customer supplied automation, communication, email, and LAN information to recommend incorporating cost effective new technologies as required.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Systems Security Analyst level II within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing information technology (IT) customer support services by researching, developing, implementing, testing, and improving information security to protect classified information and preventing unauthorized access to information systems.

Education
Education may be substituted in lieu of specialized experience as follows:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
