About the Position: Serves as an Administrative Officer working in the Engineering Division; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District; located in downtown Kansas City, MO.
Duties
Administer a training program which includes coordinating, organizing, and reproducing course of materials and training aids, ensuring completion of forms.
Advise managers of changes in administrative and/or personnel regulations and policies by higher authority, which affect the operation of the division.
Serves as liaison and coordinates all aspects of the Engineering Divisions personnel actions with the servicing civilian personnel office.
Collects and compiles statistical and progress data on various Engineering Division projects in coordination with management, operating budget, or other studies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last up to 3 years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.
- Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 5% of the time.

To qualify at the GS-11:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: coordinating training, budgetary, personnel actions, administrative functions; analyzing data AND creating reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR,
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
