This position is located within the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The person in this position serves as the Program Support Assistant to the CMOP-Logistics program, providing a wide variety of procedural, technical, and administrative support.
Duties
Provides technical support and assistance to non-procedural personnel to facilitate the processing of procurement actions and assist the procurement official with resolution of contractual issues encountered during performance.
Works within established policies and procedures to complete a wide variety of administrative tasks (e.g. updating SharePoint document libraries, and reviewing procurement requests for completeness against established indexes and checklists).
Performs administrative duties related to procurement such as claim processing, needs forecasting, market research, and general administrative tasks.
Maintains electronic files in Logistics SharePoint, including the scanning of all required documents for upload.
Conducts special projects or studies to assist with processes to analyze, evaluate, and provide recommendation on program or issues.
Assists, as required, with preparation of statistical reports and special analysis.
Purchase card holder to support the CMOP mission for purchase of miscellaneous, non-pharmaceutical products.
Processes invoices.
Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/21/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs; skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems; ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively (both orally and in typing), using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines; complete specialized project assistant work related in support of Logistics; ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization and meet deadlines; prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment; taking the initiative, critical thinking and problem solving.

Physical Requirements: Work is mostly sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
