This position is located in the Corporate Operations Branch, Corporate and Legal Operations Section, Contract & Risk Management Unit, under the supervision of the Senior Counsel. The Contracts & Risk Management Unit is comprised of three groups: the Contracts & Leasing Group (CLG), the Legal Services & Special Contracts Group (LSSCG), and the Risk Management & Records Group (RMRG).
Duties
Provides technical and program support in collecting, organizing, and reviewing sensitive and confidential information for the production of various documents and reports pertaining to the formation, award, defense and administration of contracting and procurement actions.
Serves as timekeeper and perform timekeeping duties, generate required reports, and perform leave audits as necessary.
Performs research on select topics/issues in support of contracting and procurement actions as directed by the supervisor or higher-level professional staff.
Provides response to inquiries via telephone, in person, and/or in writing.
Serves as a liaison with officials both inside and outside the agency, private organizations, banking officials, members of the public, and others inquiring primarily about the Unit’s legal and operational matters.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-08: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-07 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is performing administrative duties that includes: researching data to produce correspondence, charts, reports, and other documents; utilizing a variety of office automation software; reviewing documents for accurate grammar, punctuation, formatting and spelling; utilizing electronic databases; and organizing and maintaining records in an electronic format.
