The AOC has a talented workforce comprised primarily of Wage Grade, General Schedule and Exempt personnel. This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO), Supplies, Services, and Material Management Division (SSMMD), Property Management Branch. The selected candidate also serves in the role of Branch Chief and property administrator responsible for the management of the agency's property and fleet management programs.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-14 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes:
Developing and evaluating policy, material management programs, systems, procedures, methods and long-range plans.
Management or supervision of operational level, inventory management regarding supply items, processing requisitions, reallocating or redistributing material, analyzing requirements, excessing property, and recommending procurement and excess property actions.
Conducting inventories and audits that obtains the accuracy of accountable property.
Demonstrated understanding of logistics support requirements and mission or program goals.
Demonstrated knowledge of property and fleet regulations and policies, including the latest property life cycle procedures and techniques.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement. A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired.
