Duties
This position is located in the Property and Asset Management Division (PAMD), Office of Logistical Services (OLS), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, (OCAO), in the United States Capitol Police (USCP). The purpose of the position is to lead and supervise fulltime and contractor personnel with the purpose to provide logistical, operational, sustainment, and life-supporting services for the USCP by providing project management, planning, coordinating; and evaluating logistical actions required to support the Department's law enforcement mission. Responsible for overseeing the logistics support mission consisting of Officer life support requirements, commodity distribution, routine events, special events, emergency operation logistical functions; internal moving services. The incumbent plans, coordinates, and executes logistical requirements based on operational needs. Manages and coordinates mission support of for supply, maintenance, procurement, transportation, inventory management, quality assurance, facilities and property management, production control, and property disposal. In some emergency situations the incumbent may also assist with housing management, and food services and distribution.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For
the CP-10/GS-12 you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience
equivalent to at least the CP-9/GS-11 level which is in or directly related to
the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the
applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully
perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as 1) developing and analyzing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; 2) overseeing storage facilities in receipt, storage, preservation, disposal and the issue of commodities, equipment, arms, ammunition, explosives, and chemical weapons; and 3) identifying, forecasting and/or allocating requests for logistical resources.All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.(Information on Qualification & Education are located at the following link: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/)
