DUTIES:
Coordinates and communicates with multiple System Program Offices to inform all aspects of nuclear effects testing with relevant survivability analyses, data collection, and mitigation strategies
Develop strategic plan for future nuclear effects testing
Coordinate with test facilities and contract support to execute nuclear effects testing
Provide SME support to test infrastructure modernization and exercises
Review test plans/reports
Analyze test data & create findings report
Recommendation of equipment upgrades and/or test protocol modification based on hardness data analytics
Contribute to current and future policy and guidance
Travel for test execution and planning
SKILLS:
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple teams
Familiarity with general radiofrequency (RF) testing, radiation testing (SEE, total dose, pulsed gamma, neutron), thermal coupon testing and analysis
Experience using principles of systems engineering and data analytics to execute survivability and effectiveness assessments of complex systems
Knowledge of system relevant military standards
Highly desired: 3-5 years of engineering or scientific discipline in the following areas: Electrical Engineer, Test Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, Physicist, Nuclear Engineer, Operational Research and/or Mathematics/Statistics

- Must be TS/SCI eligible. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This is an Air Force Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.

- This position will be coded under the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Test and Evaluation Practitioner Level certification.
- This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.
- Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development engineering methodologies sufficient to apply experimental theories and/or new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of systems engineering practices and procedures as they pertain to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management principles, concepts, policies, and systems.
4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; of standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and of other engineering disciplines used in support of sustainment, modification, and maintenance programs.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches; to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes; and to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, form conclusions, and devise and recommend solutions to problems.
