These positions are located in USDA Rural Development, Business Center, Operations Office, Servicing and Asset Management Office, Direct Loan Divion. The incumbent provides customer service and a range of accounting functions.
This is a Bargaining Unit position.
Duties
Performs a range of technical financial functions to update loan activity and processes a variety of financial transactions for exception processing on RD’s nationwide loan portfolio.
Researches, audits and reconciles difficult and complex financial transaction histories and financial entries resulting from a variety of sources such as tasks, borrower inquires, external customers.
Maintains and analyzes servicing system reports for special analysis and to maintain servicing system data
integrity.
Consults with users and considers existing problems and constraints and recommends courses of action.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in grade: Applicants must meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade. (e.g.: one year at the GS-06 grade level for consideration for the GS-07 grade level).
For the GS-7 Grade Level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience in accounting methods, procedures, and techniques to conduct analysis within a complete accounting system; ability to research and resolve discrepancies; and experience in preparing necessary documentation to correct errors.
No substitution of education at this grade level.
