This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Communications and Public Liaison located in Washington, DC.

Duties

This position is ONLY open to surplus and displaced Small Business Administration employees eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP); displaced Federal employees in the local commuting area eligible for the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP); and VEOA eligibles. To be eligible for CTAP or ICTAP consideration, you may only apply for a position that is at or below the grade level, and does not have greater promotion potential, of the position from which you are being (or have been) separated. Serves as the Audiovisual Information and Photography Specialist and is responsible for directing and coordinating the internal and external audiovisual communications activities for the Small Business Administration (SBA), with particular emphasis on the marketing and press programs.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
  • You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
  • This is a bargaining unit position with AFGE Local 228.
  • This is not a drug testing designated position (TDP).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify at the GS-13 level: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment critical to organization operations, ensuring seamless multimedia presentations are produced, such as podcasts, and are delivered effectively across audiovisual and social media platforms; and Manage unconventional and artistic photo projects to produce high-quality products from digital images using photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop); and Plan, direct, and organize photographic and video shoots covering organization operations in-studio or in field locations. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 06/17/2024.
