You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the SAFETY DEPARTMENT of HELICOPTER MARITIME STRIKE WING PAC.

Duties

You will coordinate with appropriate agencies to ensure building maintenance and upkeep needs are resolved to maintain a safe working environment and ensure conformity with all safety requirements. You will coordinate inputs for local base Maintenance Execution Plan (MEP) funding. You will provide analytical reports for tasks related to individual building equipment/structure operations, maintenance, and utilization for long range (5-10 years) facility planning. You will apply principles, concepts, and practices concerning equipment, facility, or service operations to oversee identification of deficiencies and the analysis of facility and equipment requirements against customer needs. You will act as Building Manager and coordinate repairs, upgrades, and replacement as required. You will act as primary Point of Contact for matters pertaining to facilities and building maintenance. You will coordinate facilities Military Construction (MILCON), Unspecified Minor Construction (UMC), and Special Projects upgrades and repairs with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), the contractor(s), and subordinate commands.

Requirements

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning facility administration to streamline, upgrade, or improve effectiveness/efficiency for the minimization of assigned facilities degradation.
