Requirements

Qualifications

All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-06/25/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week, and to/from dates (month/year) to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. Failure to adequately provide information needed to determine number of hours worked in each position may result in that time not being credited when evaluating qualifying experience. For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected. To qualify for this position at the GS-7 grade level, you must possess one of the following minimum qualifications methods by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: One full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience is experience that equips the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. This experience includes activities such as: serving as a point of contact for routine Commercial Use Authorizations, special use permits, or commercial filming permits; assisting with implementing policies and procedures relative to a business management program in recreation or similar industry; reviewing permit requests to ensure compliance with program or policy requirements; assisting with fee payment monitoring, collection, expenses, reconciliation and tracking revenue and expenditures; tracking deadlines/due dates and alerting customers to renewal requirements; communicating basic program requirements/instructions to customers verbally and in writing; working with customers to complete detailed permit request documents and forms. You must include hours per week and to/from dates (month/year) worked on your resume. -OR- EDUCATION: One-year of progressively higher-level graduate education. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent one year of full-time study. If that number cannot be obtained from school, 18 semester hours should be considered an academic year of graduate study. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. To calculate your percentage of qualifying graduate education, divide your number of semester hours by 18 or the number your school uses to represent one year of full time graduate academic study.
