About the Position: The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the Division's Regional Water Resources Plan Formulation expert and advisor. Advises District members who serve on project delivery teams about water resources plan formulation inputs required for various studies and projects. Duties

Provides authoritative advice and guidance to key staff within the Districts, and other officials at Federal, State, and County agency levels. Provides the districts with needed on-the-job training to junior planners and monitors their progress. Maintains and determines appropriate use of technical references. Reports to the Planning Chief periodically on teams’ work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual training needs. As a Water Resources Plan Formulation Specialist, responds to requests for technical advice and assistance from any District and Division team member. Confers with planners, economists, environmental staff, and engineers in other organizational units engaged in various aspects of planning, engineering design and construction to resolve conflicts or delays to the timely completion of work.
