Duties

This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) and is responsible for independently planning and ensuring performance of a large number of concurrent and complex financial systems, portfolio management, managing and maintaining the financial systems, and their interfaces from the functional accounting and financial reporting perspective of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer., Office of Financial Management (OFM), Dallas Finance Center (DFC). Specifically, you will: Provide accounting support and act as liaison between OCFO organizations, exercising authority for the initiatives and independence of action towards obtaining technical and managerial solutions to problems; Serve as first line supervisor, planning and directing, exercising control over supervisory and nonsupervisory employees for the agency/department; Plan, develop, and coordinate financial management improvements necessary to comply with agency financial legislative regulations, the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act, the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), and Office of Management and Budget (0MB) directives; Direct the administrative, technical, and professional record keeping accounting functions to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the financial operations; and Plan and implement internal controls of existing and proposed accounting processes to ensure financial integrity, system integrity, and conformance to Federal laws, and agency regulations and practices.

Lead team studies to promote a more effective workforce planning and organizational development environment. Participate in business process reviews that contribute to the effective financial management of program operations. Identify and resolve a variety of financial-related issues, questions, operational/organizational problems and financial management.
