The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) is seeking a Lead Digital Communications Specialist to serve as a team leader and digital content strategic advisor to the NIBIB communications director, NIBIB leadership, and staff. This position is located in the Office of Science Policy and Communications (OSPC), in the Office of Administrative Management (OAM), Office of the Director (OD), National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB).

Duties

Leads the development, implementation, management and evaluation of digital communication and content production. Leads and directs development, testing, and timely dissemination of science- and audience-based digital products (website, apps, tools) to different audiences (i.e., general public, external organizations, partners, and researchers). Promotes, guides, analyzes and reports audience research and evaluation of digital communication programs and products, including formative, process, and outcome evaluation and qualitative and quantitative methods. Serves as a liaison between agency and other organizational communication and digital media staff on agency-wide issues and network with a variety of external partners. Plans work to be accomplished by other staff and contractors, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Leads quality assurance and accessibility efforts for digital content across the institute.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: planning, organizing, and implementing digital media communications programs and strategic plans; developing digital communication content and products; coordinating digital communications and online resources with other organizations and staff; and leading or providing direction to other staff in carrying out work activities.
