Serves as a Senior Advisor to the Assistant Administrator for Human Resource Management (AHR-1), Deputy Assistant Administrator for Human Resource Management (AHR-2), or AHR Chief of Staff. The incumbent is a thought partner, change agent, and trusted advisor providing advice, counsel, leadership, and execution of comprehensive plans and strategies for Agency-level programs and initiatives that involve and/or are led by AHR.

Duties

As a Senior Advisor in the Office of Human Resource Management (AHR), serves as a recognized subject matter expert in a variety of human resource management areas. Supports AHR in managing highly complex and challenging activities, often requiring minimal direction from AHR senior leadership. Develops innovative approaches and techniques, as well as leads teams to define and direct projects, programs, or activities that impact multiple lines of business (LOB), staff offices (SO), or AHR as a whole.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Multiple positions may be filled.
  • This Level 6 (High Risk; Public Trust) position requires favorable adjudication of a Background Investigation (BI) background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience is defined as: Experience supporting executive leadership by managing agency-wide human resources projects or programs; andExperience preparing a variety of written deliverables; including, reports and presentations, and briefing executive leadership on the contents; andExperience presenting HR information, ideas, and advice in a clear, concise, and logical manner, communicating effectively in a variety of ways to all levels of an organization and a diverse audience.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
