This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard, Atlantic (LANT), Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center (MIFC)(LANT), Operations Division, Analysis Branch in Virginia Beach, VA.
Duties
This position serves a Senior Intelligence Analyst responsible for the providing strategic assessments of regional and worldwide counterdrug trends and tactically actionable intelligence support to Coast Guard Maritime Counterdrug Law Enforcement (LE) operations and the Intelligence Community (IC) with a focus on the Western Hemisphere. - This position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications
To Qualify for the GS-13 GRADE LEVEL: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line work.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Assessing the validity, accuracy, reliability, relevance, and urgency of reporting, identifying and reporting on information with implications relevant to a military organization’s interests.
Identifying emerging threats to U.S and allied interests, briefing leadership to enable and inform resource re-allocation consideration.
Preparing and disseminating analytic products to include written and verbal briefs, papers, articles and studies that clearly, concisely, and coherently convey the implications of pertinent issues to the formulation and execution of intelligence operations and foreign policy.
Conducting all-source analysis delivering statistical data, interpreting complex intelligence, and assessing trends in support of customers and mission execution.
Understanding Western Hemisphere regional issues and cultural aspects as well as the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic and industrial forces in various regions of the world.
