This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard (USCG), Atlantic Area (LANTAREA), Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Atlantic in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Duties
The positions serves as the Analysis Branch Chief in the MIFC LANT Operations Department which focuses on intelligence analysis and production, including doctrine, policy, procedures, oversight, tactical, theater, and national-level coordination.

- This position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- This position may require a one year probationary period.
- A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
Qualifications
To Qualify for the GS-14 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Example of specialized experience include:
Providing guidance/training on intelligence production and dissemination
Performing intelligence production tasks and its impact on one or more foreign countries
Supervising or leading a staff to include intelligence personnel
Serving as a subject matter expert in intelligence information sharing
Designing analyzing, and evaluating alternative strategies, and making definitive recommendations

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
