Duties

Manage IT projects to ensure timely submission of management data and resource requirements to higher authorities. Develop short and long-term plans based on current and projected IT equipment and services. Advise users concerning modifications of requirements to reduce anticipated technical problems. Develop general systems planning and policy direction in providing direct support to requesters. Serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (Policy and Planning) in the G6 to analyze methods for monitoring resource spending as it pertains to the organization. Monitor the status of ongoing information systems to ensure conformance with existing approved plans. Ensure identified deficiencies have a documented audit trail to a user defined requirement.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Secret background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • One Year probationary period may be required.
