This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Engraving. As a PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICAL), you will lead discreet projects to develop, evaluate, and/or implement equipment, processes and products, working with multiple offices within the organization to coordinate efforts, build schedules and execute customer projects.

Duties

As a PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICAL), you will: Manage development efforts within Office of Engraving (OE) for a multitude of Office and organizational projects. Lead or direct others in the development of project testing plans to evaluate suitability of proposed BEP products, processes and equipment. Prepare recommendations regarding long range impact of programs on the BEP products and operations. Develop comprehensive evaluation plans for new products. Manage contractors, monitor contractor progress and budget performance, and serve as Contracting Officer's Representative on contracts, as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Experience providing written and oral reports to management, customer agencies and stakeholders regarding product development activities. AND Experience monitoring progress and budget performance in the area of manufacturing. AND Experience leading or directing others in the development of project testing plans to evaluate suitability of products, processes and equipment. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
