The ideal candidate has experience performing one or more of the following grants management functions, awarding and administering non-disaster grants, reviewing and evaluating adequacy of grant applications and/or policies and procedures. Organized, self starter with ability to track grant end periods/closeouts and quarterly reports. This position is a (GS-12) with a starting salary of $96,684. Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following. Awarding and administering Federal grants by designing, developing, implementing, and interpreting grants/assistance management policies, procedures, and practices. AND Providing training, technical assistance, oversight, expertise, and consultation to program officials, awardees, applicants, recipients, and sub-recipients as needed. AND Serving as liaison between the Agency and awardee organization and determining awardee eligibility. To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following. Working with federal, state, tribal and/or local representatives reviewing grant applications for completeness. AND Evaluating awardee eligibility. AND Analyzing information and recommending actions for resolution; and representing the Agency with external partners. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR A combination of doctoral education and experience.
