The primary purpose of this position is to provide support in the execution of logistical plans, program, policies and processes necessary to support strategic planning efforts, consistent with DOD, USAF. organization strategic goals, policies, regulations, Public Laws, Title 10 Statues, and initiatives.
Duties
Researches and utilizes the most up to date business and logistics planning methodologies, principles and best business processes to achieve enterprise goals and objectives.
Provides strategic plan topics, logistics and sustainment issues focusing efforts to develop, organize, review and facilitate a proactive approach for defining, governing and documenting integrated strategic planning processes.
Establishes, develops and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with DoD, USAF and organization assigned Wings, Home & Staff offices, Industry partners, and other organizations.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes develop, coordinate, and define strategic planning process in all aspect of logistics. Research, analyze and interprets policies, regulations, laws, principles applicable to logistics. Participate in analysis, reviews and studies to identify program effectiveness and efficiency.Providing technical assistance to supervisor regarding duties; and preparing programs, policies, and activities regarding logistics.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Master of advanced concepts, principles, practices and procedures to effectively serve as the logistics management strategic planning expert. In this capacity must be able to integrate various functions across the corporate enterprise to plan or implement the logistics management program portion of the. Center plan. Resolves difficult logistics problems and issues, and plans, designs, monitors and evaluates complex strategic programs, projects and initiatives. Highly skilled in SWOT analysis and Strategic Alignment and Deployment processes and procedures.
2. Knowledge of Air Force maintenance and logistics policies, procedures, and directives.
3. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
4. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to include the ability to make formal presentations to senior leaders and major community and Congressional stakeholders.
5. Ability to integrate various types of depot maintenance and management data into the framework of strategic planning document.
6. Ability to interface with a wide range of personnel with tact, courtesy, diplomacy, and professionalism.
7. Analytical ability to discern the medium and long range effects of a multiplicity of strategic and logistics programs internal and external to the command.
8. Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Air Force policy, procedures and schedules regarding strategic planning and strategic alignment & deployment integration.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
