You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst within NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will perform research, analysis, and interpretation of how new and revised financial policies impact an organization. You will conduct performance and financial reviews and validation testing. You use systems such as Navy ERP, Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV), Commercial Asset Visibility Organic Repair Module (CAVORM), Repairable Portal (RP), electronic Retrograde Management System (eRMS), and NAVSUP In-Transit Accountability (NITA). You perform Inventory Accuracy related functions such as Stock In-Transit (SIT), Intermediate Documents (IDOCs), Carcass Tracking, Billing, Supply Discrepancy Reports. You will perform DAC/ Repair Purchase Order (PO) Failed IDOC processing as well as read and interpret contract data. You will utilize financial reporting and auditing skills to analyze financial data using programs like Excel, Access and SAS.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting financial policies and practices to resolve technical and operational problems; 2) Presenting and defending inventory accuracy reports to senior leaderships; 3) Establishing, monitoring, and validating financial management and inventory accuracy; 4) Reviewing, developing, recommending and implementing financial/inventory accuracy policies; 5) Utilizing an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or SAP (System Application and Products) Program to produce auditable financial/inventory accuracy reports.
