You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will perform various duties and responsibilities of a Financial Management Analyst including accounting, budget, and other related financial management work. You will perform work consisting of selecting and using many different and unrelated analytical techniques and methods relative to substantive agency programs with widely varying goals. You will develop proposals concerning alternative methods, sources, and timing of financing for substantive programs.

Requirements

  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and/or financing to advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising command leadership on Aviation outfitting requirements based on latest funding policy and regulatory requirements; 2) Utilizing knowledge of Working Capital and Aircraft Navy (APN)-6 funds; 3) Ensuring Compliance with budgetary/financial/pricing policies and procedures as they relate to Aircraft Procurement, Navy (APN) and Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) requirements; 4) Reviewing and analyzing Baseline Assessment Memorandum (BAM), Program Budget Information System (PBIS), and Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) budgetary and financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness; 5) Monitoring execution, ensuring obligation and benchmark targets are met.
