Duties
Exercise the full range of supervisory duties; work with subordinate staff to execute established work plans, and establish work schedules and priorities.
Utilize Facility Management Software Systems for cost-effective management of assets, and asset inventories and condition assessments for the purpose of developing deferred maintenance costs for annual and multi-year plans.
Coordinate project scopes, goals and objectives, facilitate planning and design processes, develop spending plans and budget protocols, manage the construction process and ensure all project documentation is completed and archived.
Responsible for safety and training program to eliminate at-risk behaviors and environments and enforce regulatory policies and mandates.
Maintain park roads and grounds operations in accordance with best management practices of the NPS Environmental Audit Program and ensure that work on cultural and natural resources is in adherence with approved Historic Preservation Act and NEPA.

To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: Have one full year (52 weeks of full time work experience) equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal service or equivalent. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to managing a maintenance program. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: overseeing/leading facility operations and maintenance activities in buildings, utilities boats, landscape and grounds maintenance, repair, and restoration; overseeing/leading operations, maintenance, and restoration of historic structures; planning maintenance activities and developing preventive maintenance programs for a park operations or similar operation; responsible for a comprehensive safety and training program to mitigate at-risk behaviors and environments; developing employees and employee performance plans, conducting progress reviews and /or evaluate subordinate staff members. You must include hours worked per week on resume.
