The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative supervision, planning, direction, and structure to this large interdisciplinary, organizational unit with oversees several separate and distinct home and community-based care program.
Duties
The Supervisory Management and Program Analyst provides administrative supervision, planning, direction, and structure to this large interdisciplinary, organizational unit which oversees serval separate and distinct home and community-based care programs. Duties include:
Serving as the direct supervisor for all program support staff under GEC Service.
Providing technical and administrative supervision of all subordinate staff.
Evaluating issues relative to treatment at the expense of the VA.
Developing and maintaining program operation manuals and/or guiding staff in understanding and utilizing data for program evaluation and strategic planning.
Assuring funds are using in accordance with approved program operations.
Coordinating internal review systems to assure that both functional and administrative activities follow agency and regulatory requirements.
Triaging White House Hotline, PATS-R, and Message Manager complaint/issues, assigns the appropriate staff for case management, and completes/resolves cases within the appropriate electronic platform.
Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/14/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position and that is typically in and/or related to the position being filled. Specialized experience includes but is not limited to planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory positions in the GEC Service Support Section. The scope of GEC Service provides critical services within the medical center and is complex in terms of providing efficient, effective operational facilities and high-quality technical support for patients. The work contributes to the improvement and effectiveness of patient care, cost effective use of resources, and standardization of community care referrals across the health care system. GEC's various programs include GeriPACT, Home Based Primary Care, Home Telehealth, and Home Care in the Community.

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
