This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Intelligence Analysis. Serving as an Executive Assistant requires discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality of all Office organizational, personnel, programmatic and legislative matters. You will be responsible for planning, managing, directing and controlling ongoing operations of the directorate pertaining to mission activities.

Duties

Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury. The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.As an Executive Assistant, you will: Participate in systematic reviews and implementation of the development, operation, and ongoing improvement of the office's administrative services; including performance measurement, reporting systems, internal controls, and operating procedures. Serve as senior administrative support leader, providing advice and guidance to lower-level office personnel in completion of assigned tasks to ensure timely outcome of actions and application of customer service concepts to established policies, goals, and work priorities. Perform a variety of urgent confidential special assignments to aid the Assistant Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis(A/S), OIA in considering, expediting and acting on matters of vital interest to the Assistant Secretary and that pertain to the policies, procedures and programs of the office. Plan, coordinate, organize, and control administrative operations and activities to accomplish the mission of the office and ensure adequate and timely support. Review completed responses for the signature of the A/S, OIA, ensuring that they are clear and grammatically correct, in the appropriate formats and proper packaging, and include the correct enclosures or attachments.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Providing advice and guidance to lower level office support personnel in completion of assigned tasks, ensuring timely outcome of actions, and application of customer service concepts to established policies, goals and work priorities; AND Working for a senior executive within an organization, with responsibility for triage of paperwork and workflow and in-depth understanding of the operations of multiple parts of the organization and serving as a personal liaison for a higher ranking office official; AND Experience with records and office management and making travel arrangements and scheduling domestic and international travel (knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulations is preferred); AND Collecting, analyzing and integrating complex information for office executives; AND Identifying tasks, schedules and resources (e.g., staff, funding, equipment, facilities) in support of planning, development, evaluation and decision-making affecting administrative and operational aspects of mission-oriented programs. Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Reviewing and analyzing reports, memoranda, and other substantive documents submitted to management; AND Performing administrative tasks including drafting memos, maintaining records, and ordering supplies, for management; AND Experience with records and office management and making travel arrangements and scheduling domestic and international travel (knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulations is preferred); AND Recording meeting minutes and distributing them as needed; AND Planning and coordinating meetings for supervisors. Specialized Experience: For the GS-11, you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: Performing analytical duties in support of the planning and development of administrative or operational aspects of a program; AND Analyzing problems and providing recommendations for improvement; -Drafting communications, including reports and briefings, for management; AND Planning and coordinating meetings for supervisors. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. (*Note: If you are qualifying using education and you are within 9 months of graduating you may tentatively qualify. However, you must graduate and/or meet all qualification requirements prior to being appointed to the position.)

Education

The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.
